This is loosely based on a real life situation that I had about 1 year ago. One night I had too many drinks and decided not to drive my car, so I left it in the parking lot at the bar. The next day I went back to get my car. It had been broken into, somebody broke my window and took some things. The police came and took prints. They found some that belonged to a stranger. They called and talked to him and he denied breaking into the car. He was never arrested or anything. Do you feel that the prints were enough to arrest him? Personally, I am on the fence with this. Since my car was in a public parking lot over night there is no telling who could have done this. People often think the actual actor in crimes like this are people you know. I really do not know if the police made the right decision or not. I would **** for the wrong person to get arrested and charged if they really did not do it. So my question is do you think that the prints in this case were enough to at least arrest this guy, or not. I am sure there are a million prints in my car from a lot of people that I know, with him being a stranger it makes me suspicious, but not quite enough to say he must of done it. So I am, looking for other opinions.
All the prints were found inside the car and some on the outside. I am not exactly sure where. The police say that it is hard to get a good print from inside the car. All I really know is that some were found inside, and one on the door handle.
Only thing that I was missing were a few CD’s. Even if the prints were found inside the glove compartment or dashboard how would it be enough still?
I guess I am asking how the placement of the prints would make that much of a difference in this case. It does not prove that he stole them. It proves he was inside at one point. Hell all I know he could have secured my car, after the break in, or he could have been the tune up guy. I really do not know. I know in the past I have done simialar to a car, I have closed doors that were left open, I have even locked cars up for people that were left open in a parking lot. So I can see how certain other things are conceivable, that a stranger might have done innocently.
Robin, why do you feel that the prints are not enough?

The key to my apartment building is the same as the key to my apartment. My landlady says that the other people in the building can only use their keys to open the door to the building, but not to my apartment. Her exact words were “Locksmiths can key locks so that a key opens the front door and each apt separately.” Is this possible? How does it work?

Kids walked to school without being attacked, and there were no bars on the gates. People could enjoy an evening stroll and there was no such thing as a drive-by shooting. Kids respected their elders and neighbors were truly “neighborly”.
My grandparents didn’t even need to lock the windows or the doors. That was another lifetime ago, I suppose, but what happened?!

What I don’t get is that they say they trust I don’t to drugs, and they KNOW im the type not to have sex, so im pretty sure it isn’t because of that. I just **** it because they never knock, even when I put signs up-they just ignore them over time. I would just like some privacy because Ive had some pretty close calls whilst changing or doing something I don’t really want people to watch me do. Also, sometimes I just want to be alone. Strange part is, only my 12 year old sister knocks, and Ive asked my parents if they could kindly knock and listen to the “invisible door lock” (which meant to leave a note and come back later) I used to have up sometimes. I’ve only straight-up asked my dad and he said NO, so im going for my mom.
o I forgot to add that I’m 15 1/2
yeah I used to share a room until I was 11 and I hated it

I have always wondered if the color you decide to paint your front door says anything about the people who live in the house.
Just because I’ve heard that different colors represent different things. Like purple for wealth, etc.
Does anyone know if there is a list of colors of doors and there meanings?

I called Cingular to make sure that the Unlocked Sidekick would work even though I do not go through T-Mobile service and she said that the only way it would work is if I bought a Locked Sidekick, but I’ve been told by a few people to get the Unlocked Sidekick. Does anyone know?

I live in a two story apt building. i am on the bottom floor and have a sliding glass door that goes to my patio. some months ago i came home to a man trying to break my sliding glass door open. I called 911 and than stayed at moms. I called the leasing agent and they pretty much said well this never happend before. i asked if they would add more lights around the carport and add a lock to my front door. they said no. they even told me not to tell the people in the buiding about the guy trying to get in. come to find out that the guy above me was robbed not even more than 4 weeks before me. I want to break my lease but they said they would sue me. what can i do about this? thanks

He rips off those “child proof” latches like they’re nothing is there another product out there and where can i get it?
I have the one where doors edges are one side so putting out of reach is imposible
And dont tell me to disipline my kid. If i go to the bathroom or turn my back he’s in it. He’s the size of a four yr old and he’s tall.
He is not hungry. He takes things out and dumps food all over the floor. especially the eggs. He is not old enough to help him self to the food because he don’t eat the food. He plays in it!!!
He’s developmentaly delayed so he cant talk but he can sign to let you know if he’s hungry and by the way, people he eats six times a day but he only weighs 40 pounds and is 3′5.

I mean for those of us who are desperate for mental help but not at risk for ******* or harm to others. I live in Florida and am willing to go anywhere in the state where I am treated as a human and not a prisoner. I have bipolar disorder but want extra help in an inpatient setting. I want to do it for my family. We are going through HORRIBLE times right now!

what can be learned by only allowing the ilk of ones own mind set to answer. What in the world does this accomplish?
like wise to the block option.
