Is there any type of glue or cement i can spray into a lock to keep it from unlocking ever again?

I know that sounds like an odd question I’m sure. I have a windowless door that I never use in my kitchen. I have moved into a somewhat bad part of town and the lock on the door had been picked twice and the house broken into with the previous owners. (Yes I hope to move soon when my financial situation is better, etc. etc.) I don’t have a lot of money to do this with, so what I hoped to do is just lock it and spray some sort of glue or cement into the cylinder to prevent it from unlocking ever again.
4 CommentsI could put a board up and nail the thing shut, but that would look junky and tacky and I was hoping to do it without making any marks to the door frame.

I locked myself out of my car at work one day and had to call a locksmith, was charged 85$ (it was normal hours and not far away)!!!! The dude ran my debit card but he said his card reader was broken so he wrote down my card info, saying that the money would be taken out of my account the next day. The next morning the locksmith calls and says they need the security code and expiration date of my card, at the time I didn’t have my card with me so a few days went by. They called again.
3 CommentsI am short of money right now and I know that the right thing to do would be to pay them but I was just wondering, if they don’t have that info, is there any way I can get in trouble for not paying them? It seems like an error on their part to me and I was uncomfortable with them writing down my card info, unprofessional.

If I mail a small package postage due, can the receipient refuse by just not paying the postage?

I bought an item on ebay that is not what was described, and the seller is the biggest jerk I’ve encountered there yet. He told me to return it for a refund, but that means I have to pay shipping on it. I have sent postage due to my insurance company before, but I knew they would pay it. My fear is if I send this back postage due he could just refuse to pay the postage, say I never returned the item and in turn he wouldn’t refund my money. This guy is such a jerk he blocked me from sending him email through ebay servers, so I cant even give him a heads up that thats how I sent it!. Any ACCURATE help is appreciated!

ok well i had my brand new ipod stolen today.
it was very special to me as my brother bought it
for me for christmas with all the money he had.
i know it was stolen in my third hour gym class, as it
was in the locker room. we were taking exams so i didnt think
to lock it up (yes im stupid, but i was stressed from exams).
it was in my pencil bag so whoever took it had to be a girl,
in my gym class. i reported it to the police and i have two girls
who i suspect took it, and i confronted one and she very defiantly said (search me! blah blah blah) and the other one said she wasnt
in gym class. im at a loss of what to do. I know i might have to buy another one most likely.. but is there any other way anyone can think of to do? ive run out of ideas.

I didn’t buy the books I am just curious if you think this guy was trying to rip me off. It was a college kid from another country and ask me if I had kids and tried to sell me books for $80. He said I could pay half now and half later. I told him I have to ask my husband and he told me to go call him. I said I couldn’t and he ask why like it was any of his buisness. Also I didn’t let him in my house because I live way out in the country and was home with just my two year old. He started acting like a smart ellek when I told him I couldn’t spend that kind of money. One more wierd thing he told me he was hot and ask for something to drink I thought that was wierd but I still didn’t let him in I shut the door, locked it, and brought it back to him. Do you think this was a potential scam?

Refinancing or Home Equity?

I would like to know what to do about refinancing my home or if equity loans are best suited for my needs. I bought my house 3 years ago with a no down first time home owner mortage. I got a 5/1 ARM at 6.125% which will be over in 2008. I want to get a fixed rate now locked in but also would like to boworrow money to pay off debt and do some remodeling and consolidate into one payment. The property is appraised at $ 150,000 and the principal is $ 113,000 will I be able to accomplish my goal? I figure I would need $ 20,000 to pay off the debt and get some things fixed , Any advice would be appreciated.

Beginning soldering/circuit board tampering. Where do i start? Where can i learn?

I am very much into computers as i build them. i do a lot of programming and what not, and i do a little in repair (I’ve done a few repairs for money but I don’t like having all the guilt put on me if some completely unrelated problem occurs). After working with them however i cant help but wonder about circuitry and soldering and all that jazz. I would love VERY much so to be able to learn about circuitry. Such as being able to craft a circuit bored that will turn a light on by a switch. Or for another example to show my interests i would love to be able to do something like this

If at all possible is there a way i could use free online resources or possibly get a book on it or something. I don’t have the time to take any classes and i already have my freshmen year planned out for high school. I’ve taught myslelf everything i know about computers (with the help of a magazine or two, but mostly self learned as NOBODY in my family is at all technical haha). I feel i would be able to work on it by myself but are there any sites that could assist me? All help is greatly appreciated. Btw i am 14 years old and I am thinking about computer hardware as a Major in College, so if you have any tips i would love to hear them (i.e. classes to take, things to know, etc)

we were talking about law and i say you can not be locked up for calling craigslist ****** services you have to pay for some1 to perform *** favors for money its not a crime because you could just want a person to talk to unlikly but could be used he says by just calling u can be locked up who is right
