boyfriend trying to get in?

boy friend knocking at my apartment door.Then when I didn’t awnser he tryed to push the door knob back and forth 4 times to get in.Do you think this is a bit odd?

Help! My house might be burglarized any time and please tell me what to do?

K…My mom, she is quiet old…so today when she opened the door of our apartment, she forgot to take the keys out. And now it is gone…she recalled that she heard a noise and thought that it was made by our neighbor. now, the apartment we lived in has no front gate, the door of our home is the first door from outside. That key that was stolen is enough to enter our home
now, we have the garage key and our car is somewhat safe right now, but our home is not
anytime now, that person, whoever it was that stole our key, might come through the door
what should we do? should we call the police? what should we say?
and do you think there is still locksmith service in this hour?
please help

Changing locks on my apartment - can I do it myself?

I need to change the locks on my apartment door to keep out a scary ex-boyfriend. Should I have a locksmith come out and do this or can I do it myself? I really don’t have very much money for a locksmith, but I’ll do what I have to do.

How can obtain my house keys and car keys from a boyfriend that’s in jail for abusing me and he won’t tell

I know for a fact that he know’s where they are but he won’t tell me out of spite. I went to the police station several times where he’s being held and they told me we can’t make him tell us where he put your keys, I haven’t been able to get my daughter to school back & forth she’s missing days and I can’t get into my apartment to get any belongings. Is there anything or anyway I can get my keys? I don’t have money for a locksmith. And right now neither him or the police are helping what can I do who can I talk to or call?

How do I stop my dog from barking at noises outside of out apartment door?

I have a two year old golden retriever and have recently changed apartments. She has started to bark every time she hears someone pass by our door or when she hears the neighbors. I know she is just doing this as a way to protect me, but I need to curb the barking.

Cat Put To Sleep?

My cat caught a bat and got bit. I got bit too and I have to get shots every week for a month so I don’t die. The Health department gave me two choices with my cat. Either I could keep her locked up for 6 months and watch for signs of rabbies or I could have her put to sleep and then they would adopt another cat for me that’s already fixed and vacenated. My cat was an in and out cat. She could not stand being kept inside and would always dart for the door and it very HOT in my apartment because I don’t have conditioning. If she snuck out she could give it to another cat or a kid if she had it and it’s more torture I think to watch a kitten be prisoner for half a year and emotionally suffer. So I decided to have her put to sleep and they’re getting me another cat. Do you think I did the right thing? I am a little depressed but haven’t cried. She was only about 4 or 5 months old.

Can a landlord change the locks without telling the tenant?

My landlord needed to enter my apartment to make repairs. I gave her permission, but also told her I wasn’t going to be there. Before I left she checked her spare key, and realized it didn’t work. She gave me some $$ and asked that I make her a copy while I was out. I let her in as I was leaving, told her I would make the key, and to lock the door when she left.
When I got home there was a note taped to the front door (for anyone and everyone to see and read) that says “We have put a new door handle on, so you can pick up your new key with me anytime” and left the front door unlocked! I haven’t found anything missing (yet) however, there are things out of place that she would have had no reason to move while inside. What do I do?
