I think someone stole my hide-a-key, its friday and I cant change the lock until monday! What can i do?

just wondering what my fellow medics and firefighters around the country and the world see. what are the worst calls that you have run, the ones that left a permanent imprint on you and how you do the job.
personally one of my worst calls was to a child locked in the car with the windows rolled up. it was well into the 90’s outside, well the inside of a car with black leather interior got much, much hotter, in fact so hot that the 3 year old twin boys died before anyone even noticed that they were in the car. this occured in a shopping place parking lot, the mother apparently did not want to wake the sleeping boys when she and her older daughter went to the grocery store and the than popped by the toy store. from what witnesses say the car had been in the parking lot for almost an hour when we came and the mother didnt come around for another 1/2 hour.
it was a particularly bad call for me because my son was 3 at that time and these little boys reminded me so much of my own kid.

Need help with an old lock?

I was rustling through my attic during Spring Break and lo and behold, I find my grandpa’s legendary briefcase typewriter, the same one that wrote the game summary for the Cleveland Indians during their World Series win in 1948. I would love to open it up, but, as you’ve probably guessed by now, there is a lock without a key. I can give a pretty good detail of the lock, but that’s it. Thanks!
Keyhole is a vertical slit with a small circle in the center and a circular indent inside the lock that lines up.
The right side of the lock appears to have nothing in it.
The left side has sort of two rounded prongs coming out of the end of a small metal bar so it mildly resembles the top of a cat’s head.

This typewriter is extremely old, so figuring out how to pick it shouldn’t be too much of a hassle. Thanks guys!

Negative equity 250K, what to do?

My condo went from 650K value to 450K value due to 10 forclosure sales in my complex. It will take “forever” to get value back and for me to get equity in property. My paymets are 5K and will adjust to 6.5K by the ned of the year. I can’t afford that, so instead of “wasting ” more money on this condo as I know that in Dec it will adjust to 6.5K per month, I don’t see any other way then to let it go! My lender sold off the laon and the new lenders are JERKS!!! they don’t care at all and is thretening daily phone calls, which makes me just want to say OK, just foreclose on me, the forclosure line starts 3 miles down, you’ll be lucky if you recover $400K in a foreclosure sale”. It seem they would rather do that, then to work with me on locking my rate. If my payments would remain 5K, I would fight and hang in there, and if my lender was working with me, it would inspire me to fight and live up to my obligations. CAN ANY OF THE NEW LAWS HELP MAKE MY LENDER WORK WITH ME TO LOCK MY RATE?

It’s a lock, it has the number’s 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8.
Each number has a switch “on” or “off”
so for example, number one can be “on” the the rest off. .or all “on”
i am more interested in how you solve it!

I’m getting a haircut for ” Locks of Love” and my hair is reeeeally long. Any style suggestions?
